About CoffeeMed

A Medical Outreach Program
Rooted in Coffee Communities

CoffeeMed is a mission-driven medical outreach program serving coffee-growing communities in Guatemala. Founded in collaboration with Kafes Guatemala, CoffeeMed exists to expand access to healthcare, promote preventive education, and support long-term well-being for the people behind the coffee.

At its core, CoffeeMed believes that healthcare is a right—not a privilege—and that meaningful change happens when service is ethical, human-centered, and community-led.

Our Approach to Healthcare

We organize medical clinics within coffee-growing regions, prioritizing respectful collaboration with local leaders, farm owners, and healthcare partners.

Our clinics focus on:

  • Primary medical care

  • Chronic condition management, including diabetes and high blood pressure

  • Treatment of common infections and illnesses

  • Health education and preventive care

  • Connection to local doctors for long-term treatment

We believe education is essential to lasting health. Every clinic is an opportunity to share knowledge about nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention—helping families take ownership of their well-being.

Partnerships That
Create Impact

We work closely with U.S. universities, medical schools, and volunteer teams who share our commitment to ethical global health service.

These partnerships allow students and professionals to participate in structured medical outreach while gaining cultural awareness and real-world experience.

Equally important are our local partnerships with Guatemalan doctors and clinics. These relationships ensure continuity of care long after volunteer teams have returned home, strengthening the local healthcare ecosystem rather than replacing it.

A Bridge to Human Connection

Coffee is more than a crop.
It represents labor, family, tradition, and resilience.
